To ensure safety, accuracy, and objectivity in enrollment, the Department of Education and Training requires the Department of Education and Training of districts and cities to direct kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools to complete databases, infrastructure, and technology to serve online enrollment from April.
Schools have implemented the input, review, verification, and comparison of correct and complete information, data, and evidence of students (information, achievements, priority subjects, learning results) into the system...; and provided accounts and passwords to each student.
Secondary schools (that organize competency assessment exams) register for the exam on the Department's primary admission software system in accordance with the instructions and coordinate with relevant units to synchronize data and organize admission exams in accordance with regulations. High schools carry out the steps in setting up admissions on the SMAS system.
Along with preparing facilities, schools in the province also assigned staff to welcome, support, and create maximum convenience for parents who have difficulty registering online.
This year, the data in the enrollment software has been integrated into the SMAS system (School Management System), at the same time, the form of paying the enrollment fee has also been changed by integrating QR code right in the exam registration form for scanning and payment, creating more convenience and consistency in the enrollment process.
With 2 years of experience in online enrollment, this year, enrollment registration at the high school level has been effective. At Tran Phu High School, there has been no case of incorrect, erroneous, or inconsistent information; direct enrollment registration has maximized its effectiveness in facilitating student management and application submission.
Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Principal of the school, said: “Previously, when receiving direct registration documents, the school had to assign the office department and increase staff and teachers to receive documents, enter data, compare and review registration information with documents and transcripts for a whole week.
Then, when the 10th grade entrance exam begins, the examination board must continue to check the candidates' records at the examination site. With the online admission form, the school only needs to assign 1 IT teacher in charge of technology and 1 Vice Principal in charge of professional supervision.
In the 2025-2026 school year entrance exam for grade 10, out of 789 applications registered at Tran Phu High School, there were no applications with errors, mistakes, or incorrect information or data, thanks to which the admission process took place more effectively and smoothly.
At the primary level, online enrollment is currently being implemented. Previously, following the direction of the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Education and Training, schools proactively coordinated with the People's Committees and Police of communes, wards and towns to investigate the number of children of enrollment age; develop enrollment plans for the 2025-2026 school year; at the same time, publicly announce at schools about the enrollment route prescribed by the People's Committee of the district and city; enrollment quotas and regulations on age, records and enrollment time.
According to records at primary schools, online enrollment registration has been going smoothly in recent days. The registration system operates stably and smoothly, parents and students can easily register, and management is scientific and transparent.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Quat Luu Primary and Secondary School (Binh Xuyen) will enroll 105 students in grade 1. Up to now, the number of students registered for enrollment has reached more than 70%; enrollment in grade 6 of junior high school will be implemented after high-quality junior high schools finish enrollment.
To ensure the smooth online enrollment process, the school previously sent staff and teachers to attend enrollment training sessions organized by the Department of Education and Training, and urged teachers in charge of grades 5 and 9 to enter, review, and supplement student information and data.
Ms. Tran Thi Anh, Pho village, Quat Luu commune said: “It only took me 15 minutes to successfully register my child for grade 1. I found the online registration process very clear, quick, and easy to do; the system connection was also stable, without any difficulties.”
With many benefits for students, parents and schools, the online enrollment method contributes to increasing efficiency, publicity and transparency in enrollment, ensuring that all students go to the right school with the right rights.
