In the semi-final match against Cambodia, coach Mai Duc Chung did not use his strongest lineup. Huynh Nhu, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Dung and Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy were all on the bench. However, the defending SEA Games women's football champions still won without much difficulty.

The Vietnamese team struggled in the first half against the home team. However, after opening the scoring, coach Mai Duc Chung's players easily controlled the match and won 4-0. Ngan Thi Van Su, Pham Hai Yen, Tran Thi Thuy Trang and Huynh Nhu scored in turn to help the Vietnamese team reach the final.

Vietnam team entered the final of SEA Games 32.

"In this match, the Vietnamese team met the requirements set by the coaching staff. That is, to both win the match and ensure the strength of the team," said coach Mai Duc Chung.

"We are very happy to reach the final. This semi-final match was also very difficult. The Vietnamese women's team respected their opponents very much and Cambodia also made a lot of progress. We also had to sweat to win."

After defeating Cambodia, the Vietnamese team faced Myanmar in the final. In the group stage, Huynh Nhu and her teammates had defeated this opponent with a score of 3-1 in a superior match. However, coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed that the Vietnamese team did not look at that victory as an excuse to be complacent.

"We cannot be complacent because of the group stage victory. We must forget that match and focus completely on the final match. The team's goal is always the same. Trying every match to aim for the final victory," coach Mai Duc Chung emphasized.
