Although it is not yet the official celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, the rehearsals, preliminary rehearsals, and parades of the A80 event still attract tens of thousands of people to attend.
One of the indispensable items for every citizen when participating in A80 events is a smartphone.
“Mobile TV”
Not only for communication, the smartphones of people attending the A80 event are also tools for taking photos, recording videos, and livestreaming on social networking platforms.
At this event, hundreds of people continuously recorded memorable moments by live streaming on social media platforms. This not only helped them share their experiences with friends and relatives but also created a vibrant atmosphere, connecting the community through vivid images and videos .

Sharing with VTC News reporter, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, from Thanh Oai commune, Hanoi said that in all three times she attended and watched the parade and marching practice sessions for A80, she used her mobile phone to broadcast live on her personal page.
“I find the network very stable and every time I livestream, the transitions are very smooth. I hope that on the official day, the network will still be stable like this, maybe even stronger so that not only me but many people can capture all the moments of this important day.” , Ms. Lan Anh shared.
Unlike normal days, the needs of people coming to A80 events are not only to surf the web or watch movies but also to livestream, make video calls, post photos and high-quality videos. Each person, with a smartphone in hand, will become a "mobile TV station", creating unprecedented pressure on the network.
Elevate your 5G experience
According to Viettel network's estimate, all parade locations, marches and events celebrating National Day will have nearly 3 million participants, of which 900,000 will travel from other provinces and cities.
Ba Dinh Square alone is expected to have about 30,000 people attending the parade. With a large number of people in this important area, the network operator has deployed more than 30 stations to broadcast to ensure 4G/5G services.

To meet the high demands of the people, Viettel has built a comprehensive operational plan with more than 2,400 technical solutions, 12 times more than the same period of the September 2, 2024 event, and 7 times the workload to ensure the A50 event taking place in Ho Chi Minh City.
Of these, Viettel has newly launched 500 5G BTS stations, and for the first time in Vietnam, 1,200 5G small cells have been deployed in crowded places. In addition, Viettel has also mobilized 700 temporary 4G stations and 25 mobile broadcasting vehicles.
Meanwhile, VNPT has also increased the capacity of Vinaphone mobile network in 10 key areas in Hanoi with 5,500 3G/4G/5G mobile broadcasting stations.
VNPT also proactively prepared technical scenarios to respond to many situations from maintaining mobile service quality, preventing network attacks (DDOS) to service blockade plans when there is an urgent request, demonstrating a proactive spirit and absolute responsibility for national information safety and security.
On this occasion, for the first time, artificial intelligence (AI) was used by Viettel engineers to enhance the service experience. “Every 5 minutes, AI will automatically adjust the coverage area, direct the signal to the right place where there are users, reducing interference in the surrounding areas. In addition, when the broadcasting stations show signs of overload, the system will immediately redirect users to the "free" neighboring stations ", said Mr. Ho Xuan Linh - Head of Optimization Design Department, Region 1, Viettel Network Corporation.
At the same time, network operators have a system monitoring force on duty 24/7 to handle incidents and problems that arise, meeting maximum service traffic for customers.
