Vietnam women's team reaches Asian Volleyball Cup final for three consecutive years

(NLDO) – Winning 3-1 against Kazakhstan, the Vietnamese women's team won a ticket to the AVC Nations Cup final.

The semi-final battle between the two main characters of the final of the AVC Challenge Cup 2024 (the predecessor of the AVC Nations Cup), the defending champion Vietnam women's team and runner-up Kazakhstan, took place according to a truly unpredictable "scenario". Without the captain and soul of the team's playing style, Sana Anarkulova, the Kazakhstan team seemed to have lost itself in the face of the overwhelming attacking play of the home team.

Adjusting the first pass and attacking effectively with the strikers Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen, Vi Quynh and Nguyen Trinh, the Vietnamese women's team returned to their old form and won the third game with a strong score of 25-7.

Nguyen Thi Uyen solved the first pass problem of the Vietnamese women's team, although not completely.

Opposite passer Bich Tuyen is still a big difference with powerful attacks, next to an experienced and brave Thanh Thuy in the face of passes that are not really in sync. It can be said that Nguyen Uyen is an important link in supporting the first pass and defending the back row with Khanh Dang and Thanh Thuy.

Riding on the momentum, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team, despite facing fierce resistance from the Central Asian team, continued to close the fourth game with an overwhelming score of 25-16.
