Host Mongolia is ranked 121st in the world , far behind the Vietnamese futsal team (ranked 39th in the world).

Therefore, despite playing a large defense in the first half, the Mongolian futsal team still had to pick the ball out of the net twice after two shots by Thinh Phat (minute 9) and Minh Tri (minute 12).

Within the first 2 minutes of the second half, Nhan Gia Hung and Thinh Phat scored consecutively, raising the score to 4-0 for the Vietnamese futsal team.

However, we must praise the efforts of the home players when they played with great resilience in the remaining minutes.

The Mongolian futsal team even scored to shorten the score to 1-4 in the 22nd minute thanks to captain Altantulga Pagamsuren.

Meanwhile, despite dominating the game, the Vietnamese futsal team could only score two more goals by Ngoc Son (minute 27) and captain Pham Duc Hoa (minute 31) to secure a 6-1 victory.

According to the schedule, the Vietnamese futsal team will also meet Nepal (October 9) and South Korea (October 11) in the remaining two matches of Group D.

The goal of coach Diego Giustozzi and his team is to win first place in the group and directly qualify for the final round.
