Accordingly, on July 21, the union members and young people visited and cooked a cozy meal with the family of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van, a policy family in Tan Hoa hamlet. The bustling, warm atmosphere spread from the small kitchen, when each young person actively contributed: Some went to the market, some picked vegetables, lit the stove... The rustic, simple dishes but cooked with all their hearts, created a meal full of affection like in a family.
After the meal, the members gathered around Uncle Van to listen to him recount the heroic memories of the resistance war, the difficult but proud years of the previous generation. The touching stories left a deep impression, contributing to fostering patriotism, gratitude and responsibility for today's young generation.
Also on this occasion, Tan Duong Commune Youth Union presented 10 gifts to policy families in the commune. Although the material value was not large, the care and sharing of the youth brought joy and warmth to those who sacrificed for national independence.
Along with that, the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward coordinated with the Ward Police and the Ward Veterans Association to organize the program " Meal of Love" at the house of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Chi. At the program, union members and young people kindly asked about her health, gave gifts and organized a friendly meal with Mother Nguyen Thi Chi. In the warm atmosphere, the young people listened to Mother tell touching stories about the sacrifices of heroic martyrs during the resistance war, thereby further appreciating the values of independence and freedom today.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Dao Thanh Ward, said that through the activities, the youth union members and youth of Dao Thanh Ward had the opportunity to express their deep gratitude to the generations of fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the revolutionary cause; at the same time, contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism, arousing the sense of responsibility and the pioneering and volunteering role of the youth in the cause of building and protecting the homeland.
