The World Championship for the King's Cup takes place at the Hat Yai Mall Gymnasium (Songkhla, Thailand), from July 22 to July 27.

On the final day of competition today (July 27), the Vietnamese sepak takraw team will have the final match of the men's 4-a-side event, against Japan.
The four Vietnamese athletes competing in the final match include Nguyen Hoang Lan, Vuong Minh Chau, Dau Van Hoang and Nguyen Van Ly. The four Japanese athletes include Yuki, Yota, Ryota and Wataru.
In the first regu (game), Japan dominated. They won this regu quickly with a score of 15-7.
In the second half, the boys of the Vietnamese sepak takraw team played with great determination. We fought for every point with our opponents from the land of the rising sun.
However, at the 10th point, our athletes could not gain any more points, watching their opponents gradually widen the gap, then winning 15-10 in the second regu. In the end, the boys of the Vietnamese Sepak Takraw team lost 0-2 (7-15 and 10-15), and had to accept the Silver Medal (HCB).
This is the second silver medal after two consecutive final days of the Vietnamese sepak takraw team. Yesterday, the women's sepak takraw team lost to Thailand in the final match of the women's team event with a score of 0-2 (7-15 and 7-15).
