VNA elected as OANA Executive Committee member for 5th consecutive time

The OANA Executive Board for the 2025-2028 term has 11 members, of which Vietnam News Agency was elected for the 5th consecutive time as a member of the OANA Executive Board for the new term.

During the plenary session of the General Assembly of the Organization of Asia- Pacific News Agencies (OANA) from June 17-21 in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, Russia's TASS news agency was elected as the organization's President until 2028.

The Executive Committee of OANA for the 2025-2028 term has 11 members, of which Vietnam News Agency was elected for the 5th consecutive time as a member of the OANA Executive Committee for the new term.

More than 100 representatives of news agencies from more than 30 countries accredited in Russia attended the 19th OANA General Assembly.

This is one of the major activities of the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

The VNA delegation led by General Director Vu Viet Trang attended the General Assembly and had many foreign affairs and professional activities at this important event.

This forum's agenda revolves around the main topic "News agencies and the challenges of the modern world , which are the fight against fake news, online risks, the development and use of AI, which directly affect public trust in the mass media./.
