The short story "What a pain" by writer Nguyen Ngoc Tu was recently inspired by author Tran My Trang to write the script "Cu lao noi song" and directed by Tuyet Mai at Trinh Kim Chi Stage.

"Cù lao động Sóng" reflects a corner of the life of farmers in an island in the Southwest. The situations in the play partly reflect current life when many people easily forget their promises, chase after money, lose self-respect and live irresponsibly.

Nga, the main character in "Cu lao noi song", has gone through many difficulties but never gives up hope and patience. This shows the strength and will of a person in overcoming difficulties in life to wait for true love. In the play, there is also the character of Mr. Tu Nhan, the embodiment of a hard-working, upright farmer. When he was wrongly accused, he proved his pain with his integrity.
