Towards the 77th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 * July 27, 2024), on July 24, the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Thanh Ba district held a ceremony to posthumously award the K Battlefield Medal of the Cambodian Battlefield Comrades Liaison Committee to 27 martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives in the fight to protect the southwestern border of the Fatherland and performed the noble international duty of helping the Cambodian revolution defeat the genocidal regime.
Representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations presented the K Battlefield Medal to representatives of the martyrs' relatives.
Attending the event were representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, Thanh Ba District People's Committee, and the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of the province.
The K battlefield commemorative medal is a noble symbol of honor for the tradition and camaraderie of the Cambodian battlefield. The awarding ceremony was held to commemorate the martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the noble international spirit in the neighboring country.
On this occasion, the Cambodian battlefield comrades' liaison committee also awarded the K battlefield medal to 13 members who had achievements in fighting to protect the southwestern border and performing the noble international duty of helping the Cambodian people escape genocide.
