According to Ms. Huong, the roofing system was built by the school in 2024 at a cost of 400 million VND. The school is coordinating with local authorities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 5 to welcome the new school year.

Storm No. 5 also caused heavy damage to Son Loc Secondary School (Son Loc Commune, Ha Tinh Province) with many classrooms having their roofs blown off.

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province, storm No. 5 damaged 156 educational facilities in the area, with an estimated loss of more than 121 billion VND. After the storm, the Department of Education and Training established 4 working groups to visit schools to assess the damage and direct the recovery.
