In mid-August, teachers from Pu Nhi Primary School and Pu Nhi Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities in the mountainous border commune of Pu Nhi, Thanh Hoa province, returned to school to clean, arrange classroom tables and chairs, and arrange beds for students in the school's dormitory.

Preparing to enter the new school year 2025-2026, teachers, students and parents of two schools located next to each other in the center of Pu Nhi commune are excited when the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province invested in building a new, spacious and solid classroom and head office building, meeting the requirements of studying 2 sessions/day.

At Pu Nhi Primary School, the dormitory for students is being completed and will be put into use in the first semester of the school year.

Teacher Nguyen Tien Hiep - principal of Pu Nhi Primary School - said: "Up to now, the school's facilities have been invested in by the State to be basically complete, spacious, and solid, meeting the requirements of teaching 2 sessions/day and serving boarding students, when the school's boarding area put into use 11 rooms for 176 students to live in.

Currently, the school is still short of 2 culture teachers and lacks some equipment and teaching aids according to the 2018 General Education Program.

At Pu Nhi Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, a number of construction items are being urgently completed to enter the new school year 2025-2026.

This school year, the school has 451 students, most of whom will stay in the school's dormitory from Monday to Saturday every week.

The school has arranged accommodation for students so they can go to school with peace of mind.

On August 12, speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , teacher Tran Van Liem - principal of Pu Nhi Ethnic Boarding Secondary School - said that implementing the conclusion of the Politburo , the direction of the Prime Minister, and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on building boarding schools for primary and secondary levels in border communes. Recently, the Department of Construction and the Department of Education and Training came to survey and work with the school to implement the direction of the superiors.

Mr. Ho Van Co said: "My family has a son who is entering grade 9 this year at Pu Nhi Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities. He has been living in the school's dormitory for many years.

Our children are provided with meals and accommodation by the State in a dormitory, which is very convenient for parents to go to work in the fields or go far away to work.

Thanh Hoa invests more than 113 billion VND to build a school in a border commune

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online on August 12, Mr. Luong Van Liem - Director of the Muong Lat Area Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the project will be implemented in Resolution 11 of 2022 of the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on the construction and development of the old Muong Lat district until 2030.

From 2023 to present, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has invested more than 113 billion VND to build schools and school auxiliary items in 7 border communes and Muong Ly commune of Muong Lat district (old).

Up to now, many construction items have been put into use, serving the new school year 2025-2026".
