National Economics University awarded doctoral degrees to 91 new doctors

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the National Economics University, Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Chuong said: With a history of nearly 70 years of growth and development, the National Economics University is proud to be a training center for managers, experts, and leading scientists in the fields of economics, management, and business administration; and is one of the first educational institutions in Vietnam to conduct postgraduate training.

The postgraduate training program of the National Economics University has a history of nearly 50 years, providing generations with opportunities for advanced study and research. Generations of postgraduate students are an important part of building the position of the school.

In his message to the 91 new PhDs who were awarded their degrees today, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong shared: Lifelong learning is the best foundation to build a bright future for each individual, as well as for their family and country. The new PhDs can be completely proud of the journey they have gone through, of what they have achieved.

“You have proven yourself by overcoming difficulties and challenges. A doctoral degree is an important milestone in everyone's life, opening a new stage full of promise but also full of responsibility. Your success will always be the pride of your family, teachers, and the National Economics University. We will always follow and believe that you will be a shining example for the next generations,” emphasized Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Chuong.

This is a special course with many research articles published in ISI/Scopus journals, with dozens of new PhDs as main authors of prestigious works.

To the 124 PhD students of the 45th course, Professor, Dr. Pham Hong Chuong advised: In the upcoming PhD journey, there will be times when you will experience anxiety, stress, fatigue, and even deadlock. However, that is part of life, part of the PhD work. I believe that you will overcome everything and step up to the podium to receive your PhD degree.

The leaders of the National Economics University commended the new doctors for their excellent results in study and scientific research.

Representing the new PhDs, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union, Dr. Nguyen Nhat Linh shared: The PhD degree from the National Economics University is an aspiration that I and other new PhDs are very happy and proud to achieve.

“Under the roof of the National Economics University, teachers have given us a new perspective on the path of research and experience, we are trained in critical thinking and the ability to proactively solve problems. And now, the new PhDs of the National Economics University have the responsibility to connect the knowledge gained from this degree to life in each position, each working path ahead, so that the efforts of teachers to impart are more meaningful in the new era of the Vietnamese nation.

According to the new doctor, the learning and research process is a process of contemplation and maturity for all graduate students with profound lessons, summarized into 3 elements: Willpower; determination and solidarity.

Also at the 2024 opening and doctoral degree awarding ceremony, the leaders of the National Economics University commended the new graduate students and new doctors for their excellent results in studying and scientific research.
