This year, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences , under the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has the highest benchmark score in the Math and Information Technology majors, with 19.5 points. The Physics, Chemistry, and Biology majors have a benchmark score of 17 points.
Compared to last year, the admission score for the IT specialized class remained unchanged, but the Math specialized class decreased by 0.75 points. Meanwhile, the Physics and Chemistry specialized class decreased by 0.5-1.5 points, and the Biology specialized class increased by 1 point.

The admission score is the total score of the Math subject in round 1 (must be 4 points or higher and multiplied by a factor of 1) plus the score of the specialized subject (must be 4 points or higher and multiplied by a factor of 2). The scores of Literature and English are not counted towards the admission score but must meet the condition of achieving 4 points or higher.
Successful candidates enroll on July 5.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences will enroll 525 students in grade 10 with 5 specialized blocks including Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; each specialized block has 105 students.
Of the 3,000 applications the school received, 855 were for the IT major, with a "competition" ratio of 1/8.1; meaning 8 students took the exam, only 1 was accepted. The second place was for the Math major with 603 applications, with a "competition" ratio of 1/5.7. The Biology major had the lowest "competition" ratio of 1/3.9.
All candidates registering for the school entrance exam must take a general exam in three subjects: Literature, Math and English, then take an additional exam in the specialized subject corresponding to the specialized class they have registered for.
Admission scores to the High School for Natural Sciences are calculated according to the formula: General Math score + specialized subject score (coefficient 2), maximum 30 points.
