Exhibition Memory and Faith

(CLO) On December 19, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Women's Museum coordinated with the "Forever 20" Club to organize the opening of the exhibition "Memories and Faith". The event displayed nearly 200 historical artifacts to help the public gain a deeper understanding of the arduous yet heroic past of the Vietnamese people.

The event aims to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), including 3 main activities: Seminar "There was a time like that"; Ceremony to receive war relics and opening of the exhibition "Memory and Faith".

At the seminar, among the 4 guests, 3 people directly participated in fighting and serving in the resistance war against America to save the country.

They are Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Vinh, former youth volunteer of Company 812, Capital Youth Volunteer Team N43, Ministry of Transport ; Mr. Nguyen Tien Lich, former Political Commissar of Company 2, D530, Regiment 5, Cat Bi Brave Soldiers; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Hien, General Secretary of the Vietnam Veteran Entrepreneurs Association, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Association, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Hien Le Group.

The fourth guest was Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University - son of Major General Hoang Dan, former Director of the Department of Military Science, Ministry of National Defense .

Memories of a passionate youth, stories about revolutionary ideals, the spirit of overcoming difficulties to serve the Fatherland, comradeship and teamwork in war and peacetime... were shared emotionally by veterans and former youth volunteers with the audience. Continuing the family tradition, growing up in peace, their next generation continues to tell the story of patriotism and national pride with aspirations and efforts to study, contributing to building a prosperous country.

The exhibition “Memories and Faith” was organized by the Vietnam Women’s Museum from valuable documents and artifacts collected over the past 20 years. It is the result of working trips across the country to meet and listen to stories from historical witnesses and relatives of heroes and martyrs who remained on the battlefields of the past. The exhibition has 3 themes: “Ready to go”; “Belief in victory” and “The day of return”.

Through nearly 200 original images and artifacts, including typical souvenirs such as: a volunteer application written in blood; a diary of a female soldier of Truong Son about her journey to the battlefield and her years of service in the army; a letter from a martyr to his wife filled with nostalgia and faith in the day of reunion or the harmonica that the soldier used to play the song "Forgetting Yourself for the People" next to a time bomb to encourage his comrades' spirit... will help viewers answer the question of why the small country of Vietnam can fight and win against enemies with such economic and military potential.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the public can also participate in the experience activity "Letters to loved ones", where people can write meaningful letters, sending sincere feelings to their loved ones through letters with a strong "wartime" style.
