Implementing the plan to organize the Exhibition of socio-economic achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2

STO - On the afternoon of June 11, in Hanoi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting to deploy the establishment of the Organizing Committee and the plan to organize the "Exhibition of socio-economic achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025)" and announced the decision to establish the Exhibition Organizing Committee to ensure the preparation and organization of the event takes place effectively, solemnly, and commensurate with the national scale. The meeting was held in person and online. Also attending were leaders of relevant ministries and branches. At the Soc Trang province bridge, the meeting was attended by comrade Nguyen Van Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

As planned, the exhibition will take place from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition Center, Co Loa, Dong Anh (Hanoi). The opening ceremony is scheduled to be held at 9:00 a.m. on August 28, and the closing ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on September 5. The exhibition will display outstanding achievements in the fields of economics , culture, society, science, technology and national defense over the past 80 years.

The exhibition is an event of important political and social significance, aiming to summarize, evaluate and honor the great achievements that the country has achieved during 80 years of construction and development. This is also an opportunity to promote the image of a dynamic, integrated and sustainably developing Vietnam to international friends.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and agreed on a plan to assign specific tasks to specialized subcommittees, including: Content Subcommittee, Propaganda Subcommittee, Finance Subcommittee, Foreign Affairs Subcommittee, Celebration Subcommittee, Reception - Logistics - Facilities Subcommittee, Security - Order - Health Subcommittee and Standing Unit. At the same time, they reported on the situation of budget consolidation of departments, ministries, branches and localities.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung requested the subcommittees and exhibition organizers to ensure solemnity, safety, economy, fully and vividly demonstrate the country's achievements through each stage of development; at the same time, promote the role of ministries, branches and localities in the process of preparing and participating in the event. The subcommittees need to urgently develop detailed plans, specify the content of the work, clearly assign people, tasks and responsibilities, and ensure progress according to each stage as set out...

The early implementation of the plan and announcement of the decision to establish the organizing committee is an important first step to ensure the exhibition takes place on schedule, meets quality standards, and contributes to creating a special mark on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
