Accordingly, from the beginning of the year, the Provincial Association for Consumer Protection has coordinated with media units to propagate and disseminate legal knowledge on consumer protection, consumer advice, etc.; including publishing the Consumer Protection column on Phu Yen Newspaper (14 issues), Phu Yen Radio and Television (12 issues), posting on the website of the Department of Industry and Trade (9 articles) and printing and distributing 22,500 leaflets "Consumers need to know" to propagate the rights and obligations of consumers according to the Law on Consumer Protection 2023 (amended).
The Association coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to organize Vietnam Consumer Rights Day (March 15) with the theme "Transparent information - Responsible consumption" and implemented activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day such as: posting propaganda content and messages; hanging 29 fixed billboards and banners at 11 traditional markets in districts, towns and cities; coordinating to organize the program to bring Vietnamese goods to urban areas, displaying and introducing OCOP products with the participation of 37 enterprises and production facilities from 7 localities in the province in Dong Hoa town.
The organization of propaganda classes, dissemination of legal knowledge on consumer protection and management, consulting and advising on consumption; food safety for consumers; and economical and efficient use of energy are of interest to the association. The association also combines propaganda in response to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" for students, teachers, and civil servants at 14 secondary and high schools, high schools in the districts of Song Hinh, Son Hoa, Tay Hoa, Dong Xuan, Song Cau town and Phu Yen University; officials and members of 4 Women Consumer Clubs in Son Hoa district, Dong Hoa town, Tuy Hoa city, ward 9 (Tuy Hoa city) and the Women's Union of 6 communes and wards in Dong Hoa town, Tuy Hoa city. The result is that there are 9,462 participants.
In addition, the Provincial Association for the Protection of Consumers' Rights also coordinated with the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Consumers' Rights to organize a rally and parade in response to the National No Tobacco Week (May 25-31, 2025) and World No Tobacco Day (May 31, 2025) with the theme "For Consumers' Health - Say No to Tobacco", "Preventing and Combating the Harmful Effects of Tobacco - Protecting Future Generations". This event attracted the participation of more than 500 students from Phu Yen University.
Also in the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Association for Consumer Protection and Management received 1 complaint from a consumer related to the purchase of a TV at an electronics supermarket in Tuy Hoa City and coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade to resolve the complaint according to the consumer's request. On the other hand, the association also developed a Plan to implement Resolution 82/NQ-CP dated May 26, 2020 of the Government promulgating the Action Program to implement Directive 30-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the leadership of the Party and the State's management responsibility for consumer protection and management in Phu Yen province for the period 2020-2025; participated in giving comments on the draft Constitution of 2013 (amended) organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
