Awarding the decision to appoint the Director of the Department of Cipher - Information Technology

On July 4, in Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son chaired the ceremony to announce and hand over the decision to appoint and transfer leaders at the Department level. Attending the ceremony were leaders of a number of functional units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the Ministry's Office, the Department of Organization and Personnel, and key staff of the Department of Cipher and Information Technology.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son presented the Decision appointing Mr. Vu Tien Dung, official specialist 6/8, to hold the position of Director of the Department of Cipher - Information Technology.

This is an important decision demonstrating the trust of the Party Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' leadership in comrade Vu Tien Dung, recognizing his training, maturity and dedication in the field of information technology and information security in the foreign affairs sector.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Bui Thanh Son highly appreciated the contributions of Comrade Vu Tien Dung throughout his career, and affirmed that this appointment is not only a recognition of his professional capacity, but also a testament to his steadfast political will, high sense of responsibility, exemplary working style and strategic vision in the digital transformation era.

Emphasizing the key role of the Department of Cipher - Information Technology in the context of digital technology being increasingly closely linked with modern foreign affairs activities, the Deputy Prime Minister asked Comrade Vu Tien Dung and the collective leadership, cadres and civil servants of the Department to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, maintaining discipline, improving the quality of staff work, effectively implementing tasks of ensuring information security, network security, confidentiality of confidential documents as well as applying new technology in all aspects of the Ministry's activities.

The Deputy Prime Minister especially noted that, during the period when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is promoting the implementation of the overall digital transformation project until 2025, with a vision to 2030, the Department of Cipher - Information Technology needs to take the lead in technical and technological advisory work, ensuring that foreign information systems are always safe, smooth, modern and effectively integrated with e-Government management systems, moving towards digital Government.

This is both a professional and an important political task, contributing to improving the state management capacity in foreign affairs, while affirming the pioneering role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the modernization of the national administration.

The Deputy Prime Minister also hoped that units in the Ministry would continue to pay attention, support and closely coordinate with the Department of Cipher - Information Technology in implementing programs and projects related to digital infrastructure, information security, and training high-quality information technology human resources to serve foreign affairs.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Vu Tien Dung expressed his honor and pride at being entrusted with the new responsibility by the Ministry's leaders; sincerely thanked the attention, support and guidance of the leadership and colleagues throughout his work.

He affirmed that he will make every effort, promote a sense of responsibility, pioneer in innovation, proactively coordinate closely with relevant units, maintain public discipline, continue to inherit and develop the achievements that generations of officers of the Department of Cipher - Information Technology have worked hard to cultivate.

He pledged to continuously learn, improve his professional qualifications, build a united and strong Department, and successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State and Ministry leaders.
