Premier League match suspended for rare reason

The Premier League match between hosts Burnley and Sunderland was interrupted due to a problem with the lighting system at Turf Moor.

The incident happened in the second half of the match, when the score was 1-0 in favor of Burnley. The home team took the lead thanks to Josh Cullen in the 47th minute.

The lights at Turf Moor were switched on but malfunctioned and kept flickering. This left the players dazzled and unable to concentrate.

The referee called the captains of both teams to explain the situation and stopped the match to give technical staff time to fix the problem.

Turf Moor technical staff tried to turn the lights on and off several times as the players tried to stay ready for play. However, their efforts were unsuccessful as the lights continued to flicker.

The incident was resolved by the Turf Moor staff turning off the lights. After the match resumed, Jaidon Antony scored the winning goal for Burnley late on to win 2-0.
