Pleiku City: Urgently inspect and handle cases of illegal destruction of goods

(GLO)- After Gia Lai Newspaper reported on the incident of “A series of candies and toys with strange labels dumped along Truong Sa Street”, on June 13, Pleiku City People’s Committee sent a document to relevant units to urgently inspect and handle cases of illegal destruction of goods.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Pleiku City requested the People's Committees of communes and wards to strengthen inspection and handling of cases of littering and illegal destruction of goods in the management area, especially on sparsely populated roads with few people and vehicles, pine forest areas, vacant land...

At the same time, promote propaganda and dissemination for individuals and organizations to know about legal regulations related to goods trading (origin, invoices, quarantine...); consequences of trading in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin; do not litter or destroy goods indiscriminately, causing environmental pollution and urban aesthetics.

In addition, the People's Committee of Pleiku City assigned the Department of Economy - Infrastructure and Urban Areas to coordinate with the People's Committees of Ia Kenh Commune, Hoi Phu Ward, Chi Lang Ward, and Gia Lai Urban Construction Joint Stock Company to clean up garbage and goods on the roads as reported by Gia Lai Newspaper.
