According to statistics from the education sector of Hue City, in the 5 border communes of A Luoi, there are currently 37 primary and secondary schools with 338 classes, including 229 primary classes and 109 secondary classes with 745 teachers. There are currently 9,543 students studying at the schools, including 5,815 primary school students and 3,728 secondary school students.
According to Directive No. 17/CT-TTg dated June 6, 2025 of the Prime Minister on organizing 2 sessions/day for children and students, the primary school network in A Luoi communes basically has enough classrooms, but the secondary school level is still short of 46 classrooms compared to the requirements. In addition, many schools in A Luoi communes lack subject classrooms and most of the existing subject classrooms do not meet the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Therefore, the construction of two inter-level boarding schools in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes will meet the learning needs of thousands of local students.
Accordingly, the A Luoi 3 Inter-level Boarding School project was built in Can Sam village, A Luoi 3 commune with an area of over 4.8 hectares, serving about 1,527 students, including 160 boarding students. At the same time, the project also upgraded and renovated Hong Thai Primary School and Hong Thuong Primary School to serve more than 500 semi-boarding primary school students.
Meanwhile, the A Luoi 4 Inter-level Boarding School was built on an area of nearly 5 hectares, serving 1,842 students, including 200 boarding students. The project will build a new central school and upgrade and renovate two existing schools in A Roang 2 and Ka Roong – A Ho villages, A Luoi 4 commune.

The two newly built schools will have classrooms, subject rooms, libraries, multi-purpose halls, dormitories, dining halls, teachers' houses, sports fields and auxiliary facilities. The two projects have a total cost of over VND510 billion and will be completed before August 30, 2026.
At the project launch ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh affirmed that the simultaneous implementation of the above two projects not only meets the learning and living needs of children of ethnic minorities in the border areas but also demonstrates the special attention of the Party and State to mountainous and border areas. These are strategic projects, contributing to improving people's knowledge, creating a source of ethnic minority cadres, developing the socio-economy associated with strengthening national defense and security. Hue City People's Committee will mobilize maximum resources, closely coordinate between units to ensure the project is completed on schedule, with quality, serving the 2026-2027 school year.
