Ministry of Education and Training extends admission confirmation period by 3 days

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just announced the extension of the opening time of the general enrollment support system until 5:00 p.m. on September 2. Thus, candidates have 3 more days to confirm their enrollment on the system.

The Ministry of Education and Training said that to facilitate candidates, the general admission support system (thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn) will continue to be open until 5:00 p.m. on September 2 for candidates to confirm their admission. This also means that candidates have 3 more days to confirm their admission on the system compared to the previous plan of 5:00 p.m. on August 30.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, requiring candidates to confirm their admission on the system is a mandatory step to ensure the right to admission and avoid the situation of "fake" candidates causing difficulties for the admission work of universities. Confirming admission on time helps schools to quickly stabilize their admission work and prepare for the new school year.

Candidates have extended the time to confirm admission on the system until 5:00 p.m. on September 2.

Candidates should note that after confirming admission, they cannot cancel directly on the system. If they want to withdraw their application, they must contact the university for consideration. Candidates who have been admitted and confirmed their admission will not be considered for additional admission, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows them to not enroll. If the candidate does not confirm their admission on the system, it is considered as a rejection of the admission result.

These candidates can continue to register for additional admissions. From September 1 to December 2025, candidates who need to apply for additional admissions of the training institution, follow the admissions information posted on the university's admissions information page (if the school still has quotas for additional admissions).

According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, in 2025, the total number of candidates registering for the exam will reach 852,000 with 7.6 million wishes for more than 4,000 majors and training programs of more than 400 universities and colleges nationwide. The admission regulations allow candidates to register for multiple wishes and do not need to choose a method or combination of admissions; the admission software system will automatically select the method or combination of admissions that is most beneficial for the candidate. Therefore, the total number of actual wishes that must be considered on the system will reach over 50 million (each major wish considered according to each method or combination of admissions is considered as a wish on the system), an increase of about 2 times compared to 2024.

As of August 26, more than 560,000 candidates have successfully confirmed their enrollment (exceeding the total number of candidates admitted in the first batch of 2024).
