Socio-economic activities achieved certain results, in which, in the service sector, total tourism revenue in July is estimated at VND 22,368 billion, up 45.6% over the same period in 2024; accumulated in 7 months is estimated at VND 140,305 billion, up 29.9% over the same period and reaching 54% of the yearly plan. International visitors in July are estimated at 695,930, up 75.3% over the same period; accumulated in 7 months is estimated at 4,552,464, reaching 53.6% of the yearly plan. Domestic tourists in July are estimated at 3,389,721, up 15% over the same period; accumulated in 7 months is estimated at 21,723,330, reaching 48.3% of the yearly plan.
The City's tourism industry has implemented many exciting activities, especially the 2025 Summer tourism stimulus program with the theme "Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City Summer Cuisine - Diverse, Colorful". Many large enterprises such as Saigontourist , Vietravel, Fiditour have responded with specialized products such as "Dynamic Summer", "Green Summer Camp" to attract groups of families and students. The development of new products has been promoted with the launch of featured tours such as "Nam Ky Luc Tinh", agricultural tourism in Hoc Mong district associated with the value of "18 Betel Garden Villages" and the product "Proud of the Border Mark" combining tourism and historical education.
The city also focuses on developing high value-added sectors, notably advising on the development of the People's Council's Resolution on MICE Tourism Policy and issuing Decision No. 37/QD-SDL dated July 7, 2025 on the establishment of the Resolution Drafting Team. Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, the City has coordinated with relevant units to merge and close the interface of the Provincial Public Service Portal from June 18, 2025, switching to using the National Public Service Portal as the only centralized "one-stop shop".
