On June 19, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center announced that it had coordinated with the Government Office and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to deploy technical solutions to close the Ho Chi Minh City online public service portal and merge the national public service portal from June 19. Thus, the national public service portal will become a single centralized portal.

This is to implement Decree 118/2025 of the Government on implementing administrative procedures under the one-stop, one-stop mechanism at the one-stop department and the national public service portal.

Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center has organized the declaration of 1,875 administrative procedures, configured the connection of electronic forms on the national public service portal, and tested the system's load capacity when merging to ensure over 1,000 simultaneous accesses.

In the near future, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center will continue to coordinate with the two provinces of Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau to merge and use the new Ho Chi Minh City's administrative procedure settlement platform.

Accordingly, it is expected that on June 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center will conduct a trial operation for 102 existing wards and communes of Ho Chi Minh City and 30 wards, communes and special zones of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

In addition, to ensure that the handling of administrative records for people and businesses is continuous, smooth, and non-stop, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center organizes on-site support personnel for 168 wards, communes, and special zones with 2 personnel for each unit to promptly support and guide implementation.

According to the direction of the Government Office, the provincial public service portal will close its interface from July 1 and continue to close the ministerial public service portals in February 2026.
