From the morning of June 21 to the night of June 22, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 50 - 120 mm, locally over 250 mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain over 100 mm within 3 hours.

In addition, on the day and night of June 21, the Northern Delta and Thanh Hoa regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain with rainfall from 20 - 40 mm, and some places experiencing over 80 mm.

During the day and night of June 21, the Southern Central Highlands and the Southern region will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 20 - 40 mm, locally over 80 mm. The Northern Central Highlands will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10 - 30 mm, locally over 60 mm. Rain will mainly concentrate in the afternoon and evening.

From June 23, heavy rains in the mountainous and midland areas of the North will gradually decrease. However, it is necessary to be cautious during thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

The meteorological agency recommends that people living in mountainous areas and along rivers and streams should closely monitor weather developments and proactively take measures to prevent natural disasters, especially the high risk of flash floods and landslides in localities with steep terrain, weak ground and heavy rain for many consecutive days.
