This year, Kim Lien High School and Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong are the two schools with the highest admission scores for grade 10 in Hanoi with 25.5 points. With the admission score calculation method being the sum of 3 subjects with coefficient 1, to be admitted to these schools, candidates need to achieve an average of 8.5 points for each subject.

Ranked second are Phan Dinh Phung High School and Viet Duc High School with 25.25 points. Yen Hoa High School and Nguyen Gia Thieu High School ranked right behind with a standard score of 25.

The top 12 public high schools with the highest admission scores for grade 10 in Hanoi this year are mainly concentrated in area 3 (Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, Cau Giay districts). Schools in these areas account for an overwhelming number with 5/12 schools, including: Kim Lien High School, Yen Hoa High School, Nhan Chinh High School, Cau Giay High School, Le Quy Don High School - Dong Da. Admission area 2 (in Hai Ba Trung, Hoan Kiem districts) also has 3 schools in the top of high admission scores: Viet Duc High School, Thang Long High School, Tran Phu High School - Hoan Kiem.

Each enrollment area such as Area 1 (in Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts), 5 (Gia Lam and Long Bien districts), 7 (Bac Tu Liem, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc and Nam Tu Liem districts), 10 (Ha Dong, Chuong My and Thanh Oai districts) also has 1 school in the top of high standard scores. However, the differentiation is clearly shown when in other enrollment areas such as Area 4, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12, there is no school in this top.

Average of over 8 points/subject still fails public school

According to Hanoi's admission score calculation, candidates admitted to Kim Lien High School and Le Quy Don High School - Ha Dong must achieve an average score of 8.5 points per subject. To enter Phan Dinh Phung High School and Viet Duc High School, candidates must have an average score of 8.42 points per subject.

Thus, this year, if there are no priority points, even if the candidates achieve an excellent score of 8 points/subject, they will still fail high schools with a standard score of over 24.75 such as Kim Lien High School, Le Quy Don - Ha Dong, Phan Dinh Phung, Viet Duc, Yen Hoa, Nguyen Gia Thieu, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Thang Long.
