Consul General of Vietnam in Busan Doan Phuong Lan works with Chairman of VESAMO

Consul General Doan Phuong Lan suggested that VESAMO continue to actively coordinate to promote connection activities between localities of Vietnam and Korea.

On the afternoon of June 16, in Busan city, Vietnamese Consul General in Busan Doan Phuong Lan met with Mr. Chang Ho Ick, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese Lovers (VESAMO) in Korea.

At the meeting, Consul General Doan Phuong Lan highly appreciated VESAMO's contributions to the Vietnam-Korea relationship in general, between Busan city and Vietnamese localities in particular over the past 25 years since the establishment of the Association; expressed gratitude for VESAMO's active support for the Vietnamese community in Korea.

Consul General Doan Phuong Lan suggested that VESAMO continue to actively coordinate with the Consulate General to promote connection activities between Vietnamese localities and localities in the Southeast region of Korea - an important maritime economic development belt and industrial production belt of Korea.

The two sides agreed to jointly develop an annual action plan between the Vietnamese Consulate General in Busan and VESAMO to carry out meaningful activities contributing to promoting the Vietnam-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Consul General Doan Phuong Lan suggested that VESAMO continue to actively coordinate to promote connection activities between Vietnamese localities and localities in the Southeast region of Korea.

For his part, VESAMO President Chang Ho Ick expressed his joy and welcomed Vietnam's establishment of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Busan, saying that in recent times, VESAMO has regularly organized activities to help victims of Agent Orange, awarded scholarships to Vietnamese students, supported Vietnamese-Korean multicultural families, and organized international seminars on Vietnam's sovereignty in the East Sea.

Mr. Chang Ho Ick affirmed that he will cooperate closely with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Busan in the coming time, contributing to developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the people of the two countries.
