According to information from the Vietnamese Consulate in Busan, Consul General Doan Phuong Lan highly appreciated VESAMO's positive contributions to promoting Vietnam - Korea relations, especially between Busan city and Vietnamese localities during the Association's 25 years of operation. She thanked VESAMO for its practical support to the Vietnamese community in Korea over the past time.

She suggested that VESAMO continue to closely coordinate with the Consulate General in connecting Vietnamese localities with the Southeastern region of Korea - a key marine economic and industrial development area. The two sides agreed to develop an annual action plan to organize practical activities, contributing to deepening the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
VESAMO President Chang Ho Ick welcomed Vietnam’s establishment of a Consulate General in Busan, affirming that this is an important step to promote people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. He said that VESAMO regularly organizes activities towards Vietnam such as supporting Agent Orange victims, awarding scholarships to students, supporting Vietnamese-Korean multicultural families, and organizing international seminars on Vietnam’s sovereignty in the East Sea.
Mr. Chang said that VESAMO will continue to accompany and strengthen cooperation with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Busan in the coming time, contributing to strengthening the foundation of people-to-people friendship between the two countries.
