Located in the center of Quang Ngai city is Pham Van Dong square (Nghia Chanh ward) - the largest square in the province. The project plays an important role in the political, cultural and social life of the locality.
The square was built in the 2000s, originally named Thanh Co-Nui But Street, with a total investment of more than 146 billion VND.
Also right in the city center, located on the main artery Hung Vuong, there are many government agency headquarters such as the Provincial People's Committee (in the photo), Labor Culture House, Provincial Radio & Television Station...
Next to the Provincial People's Committee headquarters is the Public Administration Center, a large bank and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai (opposite)...
On the busy road of the city, there is also the Dien Hong - Quang Ngai Youth Activity Center, established in 2017. The project has a fairly large area with three sides adjacent to Hung Vuong, Phan Boi Chau and Tran Hung Dao streets, convenient for organizing large-scale activities.
Quang Ngai Catholic Church is located right on Hung Vuong Street. Construction began in 1963 and was completed about 10 years later.
Quang Ngai Provincial Stadium is located in Nghia Lo Ward. With a capacity of 12,000 seats, it often hosts sporting events, especially football, and major cultural activities of the province.
The real estate situation in Quang Ngai is showing positive changes after a period of stagnation. In early 2025, the housing market gradually became active again, especially in the land and commercial housing segments. Land prices here tend to increase from 5% to 10%, especially in areas near new infrastructure projects and commercial centers.
Previously, the province actively implemented the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030", with the target of investing in the construction of 500 social housing apartments in 2024.
Like many localities in the Central and South Central regions, Quang Ngai is a very attractive tourist destination. Ly Son Island in the photo is very famous among young people and international visitors.
According to industry statistics, the total number of tourists to Quang Ngai in 2024 will reach about 1.45 million (of which, about 18,000 are international visitors), an increase of 36% compared to 2023 and exceeding the plan by 11%.

Coming into synchronous operation from 2021, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Industrial Park with an area of 420 hectares, is one of the key industrial projects in Quang Ngai province. The project includes two large iron and steel production complexes, playing an important role in the Vietnamese steel industry.
The industrial park contributes to promoting the development of transport infrastructure, seaports and supporting industrial parks in Quang Ngai.
According to the province-city merger project, Quang Ngai and Kon Tum will become one province, keeping the name "Quang Ngai". Accordingly, the new province will officially operate from September 1, 2025 and the administrative center will be located in the current Quang Ngai city.
Due to the geographical distance between Kon Tum City and Quang Ngai City of about 200 km, the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces agreed to establish a second administrative facility in Kon Tum City to facilitate operations in the initial stages of the merger.
The new Quang Ngai province will possess both coastal and mountainous areas, creating conditions for the diverse development of economic sectors such as industry, agriculture and tourism, with 43 ethnic groups.
This locality also has two airport projects being proposed for construction, one on Ly Son Island (Quang Ngai) and one in Mang Den town, Kon Plong district (Kon Tum).
