Good news for Vietnamese users waiting to buy iPhone 17

(Dan Tri) - Speaking with Dan Tri reporters, a representative of an Apple Authorized Reseller revealed that the iPhone 17 generation may be available for sale in the Vietnamese market earlier than last year.

Vietnam could be among the first markets to launch the iPhone 17 on the same day the product is launched globally, according to an insider source, although there are still some uncertainties.

Since 2023, Apple has upgraded the Vietnamese market from tier 3 to tier 2, giving it priority in terms of opening time and quantity of goods. In Southeast Asia, Vietnam is now behind Singapore and Thailand, which are tier 1 markets.

Last year, the genuine iPhone 16 series was launched in Vietnam just a week after the “tier 1” market group. If Apple makes this change with the iPhone 17, Vietnamese users will be able to own the product on the same day as major markets such as the US, Singapore or Thailand.

The early release of the iPhone 17 will be great news for domestic consumers, helping them not have to wait long to experience the new product. At the same time, this move is also expected to have a significant impact on the hand-carried iPhone market.

Currently, Vietnam only has Apple's online store, while tier 1 countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia all have physical Apple Stores and opened sales on the first day.

According to many leaked information, the iPhone 17 product line is expected to have 4 versions: iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Air and standard iPhone 17.

Notably, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are said to have a completely new camera cluster design. Instead of being neatly located in the upper left corner as it is now, the camera cluster will likely be extended horizontally across the device.
