VIMC makes its mark in Vietnam Industry 4.0 Top 2025

The honoring ceremony took place solemnly on the evening of June 22, 2025 at the Military Theater (Hanoi). VIMC representative - Deputy General Director Le Quang Trung attended and received the prestigious award on behalf of the Corporation.

Deputy General Director Le Quang Trung represented VIMC to attend the ceremony to honor Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam 2025 and receive the award in the category of Digital Transformation and Innovation.

The program "Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam" is chaired by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, in coordination with the Vietnam Automation Association, the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation and relevant agencies, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Trade . The event is considered one of the prestigious activities in promoting the application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation - important pillars in the national socio-economic development strategy according to the orientation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030.

VIMC promotes the application of digital technology in all areas of operation, gradually building a modern, connected and transparent maritime - logistics ecosystem.

As a key enterprise in the Vietnamese maritime industry, VIMC identifies digital transformation as not only an inevitable trend, but also an important driving force to improve management efficiency, optimize operations and develop value-added services. In 2024, the Corporation has simultaneously deployed many modern technology solutions: upgrading the electronic office system with integrated intelligent reporting (BI), building an internal knowledge base, centralized human resource management software, and standardizing operating processes directly related to customers. In particular, many member units have boldly applied technology into practice: 15 enterprises deployed CRM, the seaport sector put e-Port and Auto Gate into operation, the transport sector applied electronic delivery orders (eDO) and automatic fuel control systems, while logistics enterprises applied advanced warehouse management software. These solutions not only contribute to improving competitiveness but also strengthen the transparent, flexible and modern governance platform throughout the system.

Along with digital transformation, VIMC is also a typical unit in innovation activities. In 2024, the whole system recorded nearly 3,300 initiatives, of which over 2,300 initiatives were applied in practice, creating an estimated value of nearly 52 billion VND. The Kaizen movement and continuous improvement programs were widely deployed, promoting the spirit of daring to think and daring to do among staff and workers.

The effectiveness of digital transformation and innovation has significantly contributed to VIMC's outstanding business results in 2024. The consolidated profit of the whole Corporation reached about VND 3,510 billion, up 65% over the same period last year and exceeding the annual plan by 28%; the profit of the whole system is estimated at VND 4,940 billion. These figures continue to affirm VIMC's leading role in the field of maritime transport, port exploitation and logistics services in Vietnam.

Innovation becomes the driving force for growth at VIMC, with thousands of initiatives applied in practice and impressive business performance growth in 2024.

Being honored at “Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam 2025” is not only a milestone recognizing VIMC’s pioneering efforts in digital transformation and innovation, but also affirms the Corporation’s strong commitment to realizing the major policies and orientations of the Party and Government. With the aspiration for sustainable, modern and integrated development, VIMC continues to promote the application of technology, build a comprehensive digital logistics - maritime ecosystem, contributing to improving national competitiveness and bringing Vietnam to rise strongly on the global maritime economic map.
