Fisherman's body found after 3 days missing at sea

On the afternoon of August 9, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station (under the Da Nang City Border Guard Command) said that after 3 days of searching, officers and soldiers of the unit found the body of a fisherman missing at sea.

The body of Mr. P.D.H. (72 years old, residing in Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city) was found by border guards at sea more than 1 nautical mile east of An Hoa bay (Nui Thanh commune, Da Nang city).

Border guards return fisherman's body to family for funeral

Tam Thanh Border Guard Station coordinated with local authorities to carry out necessary procedures to hand over to the family for funeral arrangements.

Earlier, on the afternoon of August 7, the family reported that Mr. H. had gone fishing at sea but had not returned home by the afternoon. At the same time, people discovered a boat about 6 meters long drifting ashore in Tam Xuan commune (Da Nang city).

There was no one on the boat, but there was an identification document in the name of Mr. H. Suspecting that the victim had an accident, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station sent officers, soldiers and people to search for the victim's whereabouts.
