Implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Party committees, authorities and organizations in Thanh Hoa province have proactively made studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style an important content in Party cell activities, professional activities and in patriotic emulation movements. Not stopping at studying theory, many localities and units have been flexible and creative in implementation so that the content of studying and following Uncle Ho really enters life, bringing practical benefits to the community. In particular, the model of "Book Street in Quarter 7" in Dong Son Ward (Bim Son Town) is a typical example.
Originating from the idea of building a friendly and close reading cultural space right in the residential area, the model "Ward Street 7" has been put into operation since 2020, receiving consensus and positive response from local people. From small bookshelves arranged and decorated scientifically in alley 27, the neighborhood residents have contributed thousands of books together, while mobilizing social resources to gradually complete the reading space. Now, the book street is not only a place to serve the reading needs of adults, but also becomes an attractive destination for students in the neighborhood. In particular, what makes the model vital is not only the number of books or reading space, but also the change in people's awareness. The organization of reading skills sharing sessions, thematic activities on Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style are increasingly held here.
Not only is it a typical example of developing a reading culture, Ward 7 is also a typical residential area of the town in ensuring security and order, building a civilized urban lifestyle. The rate of cultural families in the ward is over 90% and 55% of residents participate in regular physical exercise and sports . Residents in the ward have voluntarily contributed hundreds of millions of VND to pave asphalt, pour concrete on the roads, install lighting systems, plant flowers on both sides of the road... creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful environmental landscape.
Party Cell Secretary, Head of Ward 7 Hoang Van Luoc shared: “The book street not only contributes to building a reading culture, but also spreads the spirit of lifelong learning, arousing awareness of practicing ethics and healthy lifestyles among the people. From 2020 to now, the book street has attracted more than 3,000 readers each year. Maintaining the habit of reading has contributed to promoting exchanges and solidarity among the people to work together to build a clean, beautiful and civilized neighborhood.”
Not only in urban areas, learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings also spread strongly in rural areas in the province through the New Rural Development Program. In Hoang Chau commune (Hoang Hoa), the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW was concretized by the determination to build a model new rural commune, with the active participation and sense of responsibility of the entire political system and the people.
As a land rich in historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions, Hoang Chau commune determined that the construction of a new rural area has a starting point but no ending point. Immediately after reaching the advanced new rural commune finish line in 2023, the Party Executive Committee of the commune continued to issue a resolution on focusing on leadership and direction in building a model new rural commune in 2024. This is a key, continuous task, of great significance to the socio-economic development and improvement of the material and spiritual life of the people in the commune. On that basis, the commune Party Committee has applied Uncle Ho's thoughts on promoting internal strength, arousing the spirit of self-reliance and self-reliance among the people to gradually build a model new rural area. The movements "All people unite to build a cultural life", "All people unite to build a new rural area", "Exemplary veterans", "Youth volunteers to build a new rural area" ... were widely launched, with the cooperation of the whole community. As a result, the total mobilized capital for the model new rural construction of the commune reached over 73 billion VND, of which the resources from the people accounted for 82.9%. With that capital, the commune has built and upgraded 7.2 km of roads, the lighting system reached 100%. The facilities of schools and classrooms at all levels meet the standards, helping to improve the quality of mass education and the quality of key education. The medical station is fully equipped with equipment in the list of medical equipment at the commune level according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health, meeting the needs of medical examination and treatment for the people in the area.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Chau Commune, Trinh Huu Vui, said: “The consolidation and upgrading of rural infrastructure has created a driving force for local economic development, and the appearance of the countryside has changed significantly. Production models with high economic value are increasingly being replicated, contributing to improving the quality of material and spiritual life for the people. Up to now, the average income per capita in the commune has reached 72.3 million VND/year, the multidimensional poverty rate is only 1.05%. The commune has 1 smart village, Giang Hai. In 2024, Hoang Chau commune was recognized as a model new-style rural commune, outstanding in the field of health. The achievements are a source of encouragement for cadres, party members, and people to continue to strive, constantly learn and follow Uncle Ho, and make efforts to build a rich, beautiful, and civilized homeland."
The model of "Book Street in Quarter 7" (Bim Son town) or the model of building a new rural area in Hoang Chau commune (Hoang Hoa) are two of the typical models in all localities in the province. In the past 10 years, there have been dozens of emulation movements, hundreds of advanced models, thousands of initiatives, good and creative practices that have been launched and implemented in the province. These are the emulation movement "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, friendly government model, serving the people" launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Sam Son city with the movement "Building a beautiful image of Sam Son people in the hearts of friends and tourists"; Nghi Son town Women's Union with the model "Godmother connecting love"; Nghi Son town police with the model "People's police listen to people's opinions"; The "Flower road model replacing roadside weeds" and the "Bright, green, clean, beautiful" route of the Women's Union of Nong Cong district... have contributed to creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere among cadres, party members and all classes of people.
It shows that studying and following Uncle Ho starts with concrete actions, close to the people, and close to reality. When Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style are flexibly and creatively applied to each area of social life, it will create positive and sustainable changes. These are the models and tasks that need to be continued to be replicated and spread, so that studying and following Uncle Ho truly becomes a cultural beauty in social life, contributing to the successful implementation of sustainable development goals of each locality in the era of national development.
