Portuguese striker criticized for putting money above football ambition

She also criticized Felix for failing to integrate with top European clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona, and AC Milan.

Mendelewitsch said that although there were rumours that Felix would return to Benfica, this did not seem to suit his wishes financially.

Once hailed as one of Europe's most promising young talents, Felix has endured a rocky few years since his £106m move to Atletico Madrid in 2019. The striker has struggled for consistency across spells at Chelsea, Barcelona and AC Milan.

The move to Al-Nassr will take Felix to a league that is less competitive than Europe's top leagues. He will have the opportunity to work with Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he has admired since childhood, and hopes to rediscover his form. However, at the age of 25, the decision is seen as a setback in his journey to conquer European football.
