Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien works with representatives of Huawei Group

On the occasion of accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit and work in China, on August 31, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense , had a working session with Mr. Lieu Khai, representative of Huawei Group.

At the meeting, Mr. Lieu Khai informed about the cooperation situation with Vietnamese corporations and enterprises in recent times, including the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group ( Viettel ); shared about the development situation of Huawei Corporation in recent times and expressed his desire to continue promoting close cooperation with Vietnam.

Expressing his joy at the cooperation results between Huawei Group and Viettel Group, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien said that there is still a lot of room for cooperation between the two sides.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien suggested that Huawei continue to closely coordinate with Viettel Group to effectively implement the Strategic Cooperation Agreement signed in June 2025, promote cooperation in research, development and transfer of 5G/6G technology; promote the supply of 5G equipment in the Vietnamese market; ensure the progress of equipment supply, support Vietnam to expand and develop foreign markets; research and expand cooperation to other potential cooperation areas such as high-tech industry, digital transformation, design and manufacture of systems such as solar power, electric vehicles, remote-controlled autonomous vehicles and data centers; promptly deploy activities for Viettel delegation to visit and work at Huawei headquarters in September 2025.

The two sides believe that with goodwill, capacity and openness, cooperation between Viettel Group and Huawei Group will continue to be strongly promoted in the coming time.
