Despite being underestimated, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team started the game quite well. Their ability to serve and break in the first step was effective, causing difficulties for the Korean athletes.

The two attackers, setter Quoc Duy and main attacker Ngoc Thuan, also had the opportunity to "shoot" continuously with powerful smashes. The men's volleyball team caused a surprise when they led 10-5.

But then Korea improved at the right time after the consultations. They started better and gradually got points to tie the score at 14-14.

The two teams fought for every point, but in the end, coach Tran Dinh Tien's team had to accept defeat 22-25 despite their best efforts.

In set 2, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team continued to play fairly with their opponents. Ngoc Thuan and Quoc Duy continued to demonstrate their effective attacking ability. In addition, coach Tran Dinh Tien also boldly replaced setter Dinh Van Duy with Phan Cong Duc.

This makes it difficult for Korea to predict the Southeast Asian representative's attacking ability. However, at the same time, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team has revealed its weakness in blocking. Their blocking line is almost impossible to defend even in many situations that are not too difficult.

This caused Coach Tran Dinh Tien's team to lose again with a score of 23-25 in set 2. In set 3, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team clearly lost strength and could no longer hold on. They continued to accept defeat, this time with a large gap of 12-25.

With this result, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team finished the group stage in second place in Group D. In the quarterfinals of the AVC Nations Cup 2025, their opponent will be Qatar.
