Prime Minister requests urgent implementation of gift giving to people on National Day

On August 30, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 152/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on urgently implementing gift giving to the People on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The dispatch stated: Implementing the direction of the Politburo, on August 29, 2025, the Government issued Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP on giving gifts to the People on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1867/QD-TTg on targeted supplementation from the central budget to the local budget to give gifts to the People on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. The Ministry of Finance has transferred the gift-giving budget to the localities.

To promptly implement the gift giving to the people, the Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities and requested the Secretaries of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees to focus on leading, directing and immediately implementing the tasks assigned in Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP and Decision No. 1867/QD-TTg, closely coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security , relevant ministries and agencies to ensure that gifts are delivered to the people on time as required, to the right recipients, safely, without omissions and without duplication.

The Ministers: Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Finance, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam focus on directing relevant units to immediately deploy the tasks assigned in Resolution No. 263/NQ-CP and Decision No. 1867/QD-TTg; proactively propagate, promptly guide and closely coordinate with localities to implement gift giving to people in accordance with the direction of the Government and Prime Minister.

Emphasizing that this is an important and urgent task, the Prime Minister requested relevant ministries, agencies, localities and units to uphold their sense of responsibility and focus on timely, safe and effective implementation, ensuring progress and requirements.

The Government Office monitors and urges according to assigned functions and tasks; reports to competent authorities on issues beyond its authority.
