Also attending were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, members of the working delegation, officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in China, and a large number of overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students in China.
At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh reported; representatives of overseas Vietnamese and students spoke and shared about the situation of Vietnamese people in China in general, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in particular, and the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and China.
The opinions expressed their emotion at the attention and encouragement of the Party, State and Prime Minister leaders towards overseas Vietnamese; joy at the increasingly good relationship between Vietnam and China ; affirming that the people are always united, striving to rise up, affirming their position, preserving and promoting the cultural identity and Vietnamese language with deep national pride, looking towards their homeland, contributing to the development of the country.

The people affirmed that they always believe in the guidelines, policies and strategies of the Party and State and are extremely happy and excited about the important strategic decisions that the Party, State and Government are implementing, such as implementing the "four pillars" according to the Resolutions of the Politburo; the revolution in organizational apparatus; resolutely fighting, sweeping, preventing and repelling smuggling and counterfeit goods...

All of these have created strong motivation and inspiration for the people, the domestic business community as well as our overseas Vietnamese. In particular, people expressed their joy and excitement at the Nationality Law (amended) that was recently passed by the National Assembly in a favorable and open direction, meeting the thoughts and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese, especially those who want to return to Vietnamese nationality.

Speaking, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent warm regards and best wishes from General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders to the Vietnamese community in China. Sharing more about the content and results of his working trip to China, the Prime Minister said that this is the third consecutive year that Vietnam has been invited by the host country China and the World Economic Forum to attend the forum of "pioneers" in China. This affirms China's importance to the Vietnam-China Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership, the international community's appreciation of our country's development achievements, strategic development orientations, and the increasingly high stature, potential, position and international prestige.

The Prime Minister stated that Vietnam always considers developing friendly relations with China an objective requirement, a strategic choice and a top priority in its overall foreign policy. On the other hand, China has achieved many important achievements in the cause of national construction and development, promoting its leading role in many fields, with many important lessons that Vietnam can study, refer to and learn from.
Informing the people about the main features of the country's situation, important and comprehensive achievements in the past time as well as breakthrough, strategic and pillar orientations and tasks in the coming time, the Prime Minister clearly stated that the biggest goal of our Party and State is to maintain the country's independence and sovereignty and for the people to be increasingly prosperous and happy; the goal by 2030 is to become a developing country with modern industry and high average income, and by 2045 to become a developed country with high income.

The Prime Minister stated that to achieve this goal, everyone must participate in implementing the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and laws, compete to get rich, and contribute to national construction.
The Prime Minister affirmed the policy of the Party and State to always consider the overseas Vietnamese community as an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community. The Party and State always clearly identify the responsibility to care for the overseas Vietnamese community, support them to have a solid legal status, integrate into the host society; encourage and create conditions for them to be more attached to their homeland. Recently, the Party and State leaders have received many opinions and proposals from overseas Vietnamese related to regulations on land, housing, nationality, visas, etc. to amend the laws.
The Prime Minister hopes that Vietnamese people in China will continue to make efforts, work hard, study well, stabilize their lives, first of all take care of their own lives, their families' lives, and their relatives' lives. When possible, they will contribute to the community and the country; promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-reliance, self-control, self-confidence, and national pride; continue to unite, help, support, and love each other with "national love and compatriotism"; comply with local laws, and continuously contribute to strengthening and fostering increasingly good bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister requested the Embassy to continue to care for, look after, and do a good job in citizen protection, promote the role of "bridging and creating", consider the people as relatives, consider the work of the people as their own work, not leave anyone behind, especially in times of difficulties, calamities, natural disasters, epidemics, etc.
