Film week celebrating the 80th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the People's Army Cinema (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) organized a special Film Week from August 26-29 at the unit's Multi-purpose Hall (No. 17 Ly Nam De, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).

The film week is a meaningful cultural and artistic activity, aiming to honor the historical stature of the revolutionary autumn days, while at the same time adding spiritual strength to cadres, soldiers and people nationwide on the journey of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.

The opening ceremony of the Film Week is scheduled to take place at 7:00 p.m. on August 26. Immediately after, the audience will enjoy two opening films: "Cultural features in Ho Chi Minh's military ideology" - a documentary depicting his great thinking in military art and "Where we do not belong" - a feature film produced by the People's Army Cinema, which has left a deep impression on viewers with its humanity and psychological depth.

During the event, the audience will enjoy many cinematic works, including four documentaries produced by the People's Army Cinema, and four feature films produced by domestic film studios. The films contribute to reflecting the heroic history and human fate during the revolutionary war while also carrying a contemporary breath, associated with the aspirations for peace , independence, and freedom of the Vietnamese people.

Four outstanding documentaries were screened during the Film Week, including: "Cultural features in Ho Chi Minh's military ideology", screenwriter Nguyen Sy Chung, director - People's Artist Luu Quy; "Chutankra", screenwriter Nguyen Duc Thuc, director Vu Minh Phuong; "Forever Blue Hanoi Sky - Episode 2: The Sky of Peace", screenwriter Ha Dinh Can, director Bui Thanh Hai; "Firmly Confident on the Chosen Path - Episode 22" of the series "The Chosen Path", screenwriter Le Ngoc Minh, director - Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen.

The four feature films produced by the unit and domestic film studios are: "Where we don't belong", screenwriter and director - Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen, People's Army Cinema; "Legend of Quan Tien", screenwriters Doan Tuan, Xuan Thieu, director Dinh Tuan Vu, cooperation between Nam Phuong Media Company Limited and DV&H Creative Joint Stock Company; "When will October come", screenwriter and director - People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh, Vietnam Feature Film Studio; "Love song in the night", screenwriter Tran Kim Thanh, director - People's Artist Nguyen Huu Phan, Vietnam Feature Film Studio.

The works depict the examples, ideals, and sacrifices of previous generations, while also conveying the message of steadfastness and unwavering faith in the revolutionary path that the Party, Uncle Ho, and our people have chosen. Documentaries and feature films have and will continue to touch the hearts of audiences with touching stories that both evoke memories of war and evoke the profound human values ​​of the Vietnamese people.
