Attending the meeting were Deputy Prime Ministers , leaders of ministries, branches and government agencies.
The meeting gave opinions on the policy dossier of the Law on E-commerce prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and some other important contents. Previously, on the evening of June 16, the Government Standing Committee also gave opinions on 4 other dossiers and draft laws to prepare for the Government's special legal meeting in June.
Delegates listened to the reports of the drafting agencies, focusing on discussing the regulations and policy groups in the documents and draft laws, especially the contents of omission, amendments, improvements, additions, reductions and simplifications of administrative procedures, decentralization and delegation of powers, issues with different opinions and other issues that need to be reported; the expected time of submission to the National Assembly...
In particular, with the policy dossier of the Law on E-commerce, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that this is a very important law project; it is necessary to institutionalize and fully concretize the major policies and guidelines of the Party and State, especially the new resolutions of the Politburo on the "four pillars" related to promoting digital transformation, developing the digital economy, digital society, digital citizens, removing legal obstacles, and developing the private economy.
The Prime Minister emphasized the requirement of good management, ensuring fair competition, equal access among entities, tax management, creating development, promoting production and business, creating jobs and livelihoods for people and businesses, handling negative aspects, preventing counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, smuggling; policies suitable for business households, small and micro enterprises.
The Prime Minister noted that it is necessary to clearly define the responsibilities of agencies and apply technology and digital transformation in management; promote decentralization and delegation of authority along with appropriate resource allocation, improve the implementation capacity of subordinates and design tools to strengthen inspection, supervision and control of power.
