On August 23, Mr. Dam Hai Van - Director of Nha Trang Bay Management Board (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment) said that Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council has just issued Resolution No. 02 regulating the fee collection level and the collection, payment, management and use of fees for visiting Nha Trang Bay scenic spots. The Resolution takes effect from August 25; the fee collection agency is Nha Trang Bay Management Board. "After the Provincial People's Committee implements Resolution No. 02, Nha Trang Bay Management Board will apply the fee collection for visiting Nha Trang Bay scenic spots according to regulations", Mr. Van said.

According to Resolution No. 02 of the Provincial People's Council, the fee collection area is the sea and island areas within the boundary of Nha Trang Bay (from Ke Ga Cape to Cu Hin Cape); except for strictly protected zones according to the functional zoning of Nha Trang Bay Marine Reserve. The fee collection subjects are tourists traveling by inland waterway vehicles on the sea and island areas within the boundary of Nha Trang Bay (except for strictly protected zones).

The fee (not including accident insurance) for visiting Nha Trang Bay's scenic spots is as follows: Route 1: Hon Mieu Island (Tri Nguyen) 6,000 VND/person/trip; Route 2: Hon Tam Island 8,000 VND/person/trip; Route 3: Hon Tre Island (Vinpearl) 8,000 VND/person/trip; Route 4: Hon Mot Island 8,000 VND/person/trip; Route 5: Hon Mun Island 10,000 VND/person/trip; Route 6: Combined routes 40,000 VND/person/trip. The fee collection agency is allowed to retain 80% of the total fee collected to serve the management work of the unit, and pay the remaining 20% ​​of the collected fee to the state budget.

Subjects exempted from fees: Children under 6 years old; people with disabilities; cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces working at agencies and units in Khanh Hoa province who are assigned to work in Nha Trang Bay; cadres, workers, captains, crew members, tour guides working at tourist attractions on islands in Nha Trang Bay; citizens residing in Khanh Hoa province; people in extremely disadvantaged communes in mountainous and remote areas as prescribed in the Government's Program 135; people with revolutionary contributions; people under social policy; elderly people who are Vietnamese citizens aged 60 and over.

Subjects eligible for a 50% reduction in fees: Children from 6 to under 16 years old; students of universities, colleges, intermediate schools, high schools, junior high schools, and elementary schools organized by the school for study tours; poor households.
