Weather forecast for June 29: Warning of risk of flooding, flash floods, landslides in the North

(PLVN) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today the North will continue to have moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms. Heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes.

The Hydrometeorological Agency forecasts that from early morning of June 29 to early morning of July 1, the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall from 70-140mm, locally over 250mm.

Warning of risk of heavy localized rain (>100mm/3h).

In the late afternoon and evening of June 29, in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An , the Central Highlands and the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally heavy rain over 50mm.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that from early morning of July 1 to early morning of July 2, the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall ranging from 30-70mm, locally over 150mm. Heavy rain in the North is likely to last until around July 2 (total rainfall from early morning of June 29 to July 2, in the North, is generally 100-300mm, locally over 500mm).

Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas, urban and industrial areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams; landslides on steep slopes.

Cloudy, with occasional showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Southeast wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Northwest

Lowest temperature: 23-26 degrees Celsius, some places below 23 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees Celsius.

Northeast

Cloudy, moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. Southeast wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 24-27 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 29-32 degrees Celsius.

Thanh Hoa - Hue

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms; Thanh Hoa-Nghe An has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 32-35 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang - Binh Thuan

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 25-28 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places above 34 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, locally heavy rain in some places. Light wind. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

Lowest temperature: 20-23 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature: 27-30 degrees Celsius.

Southern Vietnam
