The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that today, August 30, the weather in the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy to very heavy rain in some places. Particularly, the midlands and the Northern Delta will have very heavy rain.

From Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city, heavy to very heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms.

The South and other regions in the afternoon and at night will have moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places. Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

At sea, a tropical depression is forecast to be active this morning in the sea area from Quang Tri to Da Nang, about 360km east-southeast of Quang Tri, and strengthen into a storm.

By this afternoon, the storm on the sea from Nghe An to Hue will have a level 8 intensity, gusting to level 10.

The sea area in the northwest of the East Sea (including Hoang Sa archipelago) has strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm center level 8, gusts of level 10, waves 2-5m high, rough seas.

The sea area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang (including Hon Ngu, Con Co) has winds gradually increasing to level 6-7, near the storm center level 8, gusting to level 10, waves 2-4m high, near the storm center 3-5m, rough seas.

Storm surge in coastal areas from Nghe An to Hue is 0.2 - 0.4 m high.

The weather at sea and along the coast is dangerous and unsafe for boats, aquaculture cages, and coastal works.

On land from noon today, August 30, the coast from Nghe An to Quang Tri has strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 8. Particularly in Ha Tinh and northern Quang Tri, strong winds of level 6-7, near the storm center of level 8, gusting to level 10.
