Due to the influence of storm No. 6, strong winds and high waves appeared in many places such as Bach Long Vi with strong winds of level 7, gusts of level 9; Co To with winds of level 7, gusts of level 8; Hon Ngu with winds of level 6, gusts of level 9, waves 2.5m high; Con Co with winds of level 6, gusts of level 8; Do Luong (Nghe An) with gusts of level 10; Hoanh Son (Ha Tinh) with winds of level 6, gusts of 7. The provinces from Nghe An to Da Nang had heavy to very heavy rain of over 200mm.

At 1:00 p.m. on August 30, the storm center was at 17.9 north latitude and 107 east longitude; coastal area of Ha Tinh - Quang Tri. The strongest wind was level 8 (equivalent to 62 - 74 km/h, gusting to 10 - 11. The storm moved westward at a speed of 20 - 25 km/h.
Note, strong winds of level 8, gusts of level 10 - 11 can cause broken tree branches, roofs to be blown off, rough seas, very dangerous for boats and rafts.
It is forecasted that by 1:00 a.m. on August 31, the storm will move west-northwest at a speed of 20 km/hour, making landfall in Ha Tinh - north of Quang Tri, weakening into a tropical depression, then into a low pressure area.
Due to the storm's influence, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri (Hon Ngu, Con Co) there are winds of level 6 - 7, near the storm center level 8, gusts of level 10; waves of 2 - 4m, near the storm center 3 - 5m, rough seas. In the North of Bac Bo Gulf, winds of level 6 - 7, gusts of level 9; waves of 2 - 4m. Along the coast of Nghe An - Hue, water levels rise 0.2 - 0.4m.
On land from Nghe An to Quang Tri, wind level 6, gust level 8; Ha Tinh - northern Quang Tri area level 6 - 7, near the storm center level 8, gust 10.
This afternoon (August 30) to the end of August 31, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri will have heavy to very heavy rain, with common rainfall from 100 - 220mm, some places over 400mm. The midland and Northern Delta areas will have rain of 50 - 120mm, some places over 250mm.
From now (August 30) to September 2, there will be a flood on rivers from Thanh Hoa to Hue. During this flood, the peak water level of the upstream rivers in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh will rise to alert level 2 - 3; Gianh River, Kien Giang River, Thach Han River (Quang Tri) will rise to alert level 1 - 2, some places will be above alert level; downstream rivers in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and rivers in Hue will rise to alert level 1 - 2. There is a high risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and landslides on steep slopes in the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Hue./.
