Speaking at the first session of the 10th Provincial People's Council - right after the merger of 3 provinces (Lam Dong, Binh Thuan , Dak Nong), comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province requested that the Provincial People's Council, as a state power agency in the locality, should strongly promote its leading role, the spirit of democracy, innovation, and responsibility; be proactive and creative in thinking and doing, bold and innovative on a solid legal basis to discuss and promulgate mechanisms and policies that are correct, accurate, timely, feasible, and close to the development reality of the province.

The Provincial People's Council closely and synchronously coordinates with the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, judicial agencies and relevant agencies in advising the Party Committee on comprehensive leadership and direction of political tasks, in organizing and implementing resolutions, policies and action programs, ensuring the comprehensive, stable and sustainable development of the province. In addition, the Provincial People's Council makes the most of the leadership, orientation and guidance of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and central agencies in its organization and operation.

Promoting the role and responsibility of the elected body, right at the first session, 100% of delegates attending the session voted to pass the resolution on the establishment of the Provincial People's Council Committees for the 10th term, 2021 - 2026; establishment of specialized agencies and other administrative organizations under the Provincial People's Committee; establishment of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council; Plan to organize regular sessions of the Provincial People's Council in 2025.

In particular, in a short time (more than 10 days after the first session), at the second session (July 16, 2025), the Provincial People's Council promoted its intelligence, solidarity, and consensus to consider and decide on many important contents and issues that have a great impact on the socio-economic development of the province in the coming time, including tasks and fields. These are solutions to implement socio-economic development tasks; local budget revenue and expenditure estimates and local budget allocation estimates for 2025 after the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units and the organization of 2-level local governments; regulations on support regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers after the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units and provincial-level civil servants to increase their work trips to the commune level; Prescribing principles, criteria, and norms for allocating medium-term and annual state budget capital to implement the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in Lam Dong province, phase I: from 2021 - 2025 and allocating career capital in 2025...

These contents are the premise for the new Lam Dong provincial government to operate, ensuring the principles of continuity, effectiveness, and integrity in public activities.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the first session of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council, term X, comrade Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council affirmed that the Provincial People's Council will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, discipline, responsibility, and democracy to fulfill the assigned functions and tasks according to the provisions of law. The Provincial People's Council is a creative agency, accompanying the Provincial People's Committee in promptly institutionalizing policies and promoting comprehensive development.

The Provincial People's Council has strongly innovated its working methods, increased criticality, science and transparency in each decision, which is the foundation to enhance people's trust in the local government apparatus. "We need to maintain the spirit of innovation, solidarity, action, and work towards the common goal of building a Lam Dong that develops rapidly, greenly, sustainably, and harmonizes the socio-economic and environmental aspects, worthy of being the center of the expanded Central Highlands region," the Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council emphasized.

Action for voters, people

In addition, the Provincial People's Council continues to accompany voters, stay close to real life, and constantly improve institutions and mechanisms so that people's recommendations are not only listened to, but also handled promptly, responsibly and effectively.

The contents of voters' reflections are classified, compiled and forwarded to competent authorities for resolution by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council. The Provincial People's Council strengthens supervision of the progress of petition resolution and publicizes the results for people to easily follow.

Along with the diversity and flexibility of forms of contact with voters, the Provincial People's Council focuses on improving the quality of feedback and the responsibility of supervision after receiving petitions. All settlement processes must be public and transparent for people to follow and supervise, with the spirit of not allowing "administrative freeze" to occur, prolonging the settlement time without justifiable reasons. Long-standing issues that are repeated many times in the meetings will be included in the key supervision of the Provincial People's Council.
