Opera heaven at Hanoi Opera House

Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB) will launch an art program called "Opera Paradise - Paradiso dell'opera" with more than 100 artists on the nights of June 21 and 22 at the Hanoi Opera House.

Speaking of Italy, besides its architectural works and paintings, it is also the cradle of the highest art in the world - opera.

It can be said that opera is one of the most authentic and original cultural expressions of the country with the legendary Venice river, telling the story of Italy in a completely different way from other countries in the world.

The reputation of Italian opera is made up of countless theaters, artists, and especially works of the Romantic school.

Famous works such as De' miei bollenti spiriti, O soave fanciulla or Il Bacio ... talk about love, loyalty, happiness, or the sadness of Violetta in Addio del passato , the despair of Cavaradossi before the execution in E lucevan le stele ... all bring the heart-wrenching beauty of the typical romance of the boot-shaped land.

Therefore, the art program "Opera Paradise - Paradiso dell'opera" will bring the audience to the cradle of world Opera, immerse themselves in the space of Southeast Europe with the ancient Roman arena, poetic fields, nights of thunder and lightning, parties of European aristocrats, meet couples in love, a little bit of Mozart's music ...

The program is staged with the idea of recreating the vibrant Roman arena with classical music and contemporary dance by the General Director, People's Artist Nguyen Hong Phong. Besides, there is the sublimation of talented conductor Dong Quang Vinh and famous Vietnamese opera artists such as To Loan, Huy Duc, Thanh Binh, Tran Trang, Bui Trang, Anh Vu...

In particular, the show also featured the participation of Korean guest artist Kim Yeo Won and two promising young faces - Do Vu Trang Nhung and Truong Linh - along with the international choir Hanoi Voices.

Talking about the program, artist Phan Manh Duc, Director of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, shared: “We hope that the audience will truly enjoy what Backtosuperclassic is, a moment of illusion and reality in the fiery arena of Italian Opera art.”

VNOB artists are in their final days of rehearsal, hoping to bring art lovers sublime performances at the Hanoi Opera House.
