The skit recreates the indomitable spirit of Vo Thi Sau.
The art program “THI” looks back at traditional values, listens to modern stories and together spreads the image of Vietnamese women: intelligent, brave and proud.
The program is divided into 3 chapters: Chapter 1 “Night - Moonlight” depicts the image of Vietnamese women in ancient society: gentle, pure but full of courage. Opening with 2 songs “Goi Gam” and “Banh Troi Nuoc” based on the poems of poetess Ho Xuan Huong. The highlight of this chapter is the excerpt from the reformed opera “Hon tiet phu” (based on the story “Chuyen nguoi con gai Nam Xuong” by Nguyen Du); concluding the chapter is the song “Bong phu hoa”, pitying the unfortunate fates bound by the strict prejudices of feudal society.
Chapter II, titled “Dawn and the Sun,” opened up a bright space of patriotism and the desire to live. Vietnamese women appeared in a new page of history, not only as keepers of the family fire, but also as brave soldiers, daughters who devoted themselves to freedom and revolutionary ideals. From heroic revolutionary songs, skits recreating the indomitable spirit of Vo Thi Sau, to the group singing performance “Grateful to Vo Thi Sau,” the entire audience was moved and proud of the brave spirit and patriotism of Vietnamese women. Not stopping there, the LED screen on stage showed examples of successful women in many fields domestically and internationally.
Chapter III “Mother’s Dream” with meaningful singing and dancing performances and stage scenes depicting the journey of mothers giving birth, raising and quietly standing behind to support their children’s dreams to fly far. In particular, the program ended with the gratitude of all the students participating in the program when they respectfully invited their mothers and relatives to the stage to give bouquets of flowers, warm hugs, mixed with smiles and tears of happiness.
Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc, in Can Tho , mother of student Pham Tran Hong Nhung, shared: “The program is very good, very meaningful, making me and many viewers emotional, more proud of Vietnamese women. I am also very happy that my daughter participated in the program. I hope that my children will not only make a good program but also study well and will be steadfast and go far when entering life.”
Pham Quoc Khai, a student of Multimedia Communication Class 01 - Course 10, said: “This art program is to conclude the subject of “Event Organization”, creating a premise for students to practice the knowledge they have learned. More than 70% of the participants are students, we invited some collaborators such as MCs, singers, musicians to make the program more perfect. The cost is contributed by students and additional sponsorship.
