Bao Viet Commercial Joint Stock Bank (BaoVietBank) reduced 12-month deposit interest rates by 0.3% per year and all remaining deposit interest rates by 0.2%.
This is the second time BaoVietBank has reduced deposit interest rates since November.
According to the latest EZSaving online interest rate schedule for individual customers of BaoVietBank, the bank interest rate for 1-2 month term is 4.2%/year, the interest rate for 3 month term is 4.55%/year, the interest rate for 4-5 month term is 4.3%/year.
For 6-month term deposits, BaoVietBank adjusted the interest rate down to 5.3%/year, 7-8 month term currently has an interest rate of 5.35%/year, while 9-11 month term is 5.4%/year.
With a decrease of 0.3%/year, the interest rate for 12-month term deposits is now 5.6%/year, while the 13-month term previously had the same interest rate as the 12-month term but now has decreased by 0.2%/year to 5.7%/year.
For term deposits from 15 to 36 months, the interest rate has also been adjusted down to 6%/year. This is also the highest deposit interest rate at BaoVietBank at this time.
Also today, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (BVBank) reduced deposit interest rates for terms from 1 to 11 months. This is also the second time BVBank has reduced deposit interest rates this month.
According to the online interest rate schedule applied from November 28, the interest rates for 1- and 2-month terms decreased by 0.2 - 0.25%/year to 3.8%/year, respectively; the interest rates for 3 - 4 - 5 months also decreased by 0.25%/year to 3.9% - 4% - 4.1%/year, respectively.
Meanwhile, BVBank's interest rates for 6-11 month terms were simultaneously reduced by 0.2%/year. Thereby, the interest rate for 6-month terms is 5.05%/year, 7-month terms is 5.1%/year, 8-month terms is 5.15%/year, 9-month terms is 5.2%/year, 10-month terms is 5.25%/year, and 11-month terms is 5.3%/year.
BVBank keeps the interest rates for the remaining deposit terms unchanged. Currently, the interest rate for 12-month term is 5.5%/year, for 15-18-month term is 5.55%/year, and for 24-month term is 5.6%/year, which is also the term with the highest deposit interest rate at this bank.
Apart from BVBank and BaoVietBank, interest rates at other banks remained unchanged today (November 28).
Since the beginning of November, 27 banks have reduced deposit interest rates: Sacombank, NCB, VIB, BaoVietBank, Nam A Bank, VPBank, VietBank, SHB , Techcombank, Bac A Bank, KienLongBank, ACB, Dong A Bank, PG Bank, PVCombank, VietA Bank, SCB, Eximbank, OceanBank, BVBank, OCB, TPBank, CBBank, HDBank, SeABank, GPBank, Saigonbank.
Of which, VietBank, Dong A Bank, VIB, NCB, Techcombank, OCB, Bac A Bank , Sacombank, BaoVietBank, BVBank are the banks that have reduced interest rates twice this November.
On the contrary, VIB, OCB and BIDV are the banks that have increased their deposit interest rates since the beginning of the month. With OCB, the bank increased interest rates for terms from 18-36 months. Meanwhile, BIDV increased interest rates for terms from 6-36 months, and VIB increased interest rates for terms from 2-5 months.
