More players want to leave MU

Midfielder Toby Collyer is considering a loan move for the 2025/26 season, as competition for places at Manchester United intensifies.

According to the Daily Mail , MU is looking for a new midfielder to improve the quality of the midfield. In addition, captain Bruno Fernandes is likely to play deep as a central midfielder in the 3-4-3 system, affecting Collyer's playing opportunities.

Talking about the future, Collyer said: "Of course I want to stay here and play as many games as possible. I will sit down with the coach and the board to see what is the best option. The best way for me to develop may be to stay or go out on loan."

Collyer turned down Chelsea and Brentford to join United from Brighton in 2022. The 21-year-old midfielder impressed when coach Ruben Amorim gave him a chance to play last season. However, a hamstring injury has disrupted Collyer's development.

With United failing to qualify for European competition next season, the number of matches will be significantly reduced compared to the 2024/25 season. Coach Amorim warned that the players will have to work harder to compete for playing places. In midfield, Collyer will have to "confront" Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo to take one of the two starting positions.

Besides Collyer, MU is also actively selling Antony, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia this summer.
