Strengthening friendship and expanding cooperation between Vietnam and the United States

(GLO)- On the occasion of the 249th anniversary of the US Independence Day (July 4, 1776 - July 4, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations (July 11, 1995 - July 11, 2025), on the afternoon of July 4, the Gia Lai Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations coordinated with the Vietnam-US Friendship Association to organize an intimate meeting.

After 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations, Vietnam and the United States have become comprehensive partners, cooperating extensively in many fields, actively contributing to peace , stability and sustainable development of the region and the world.

The Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, the Provincial Vietnam-US Friendship Association and its member organizations have promoted their role as bridges, strengthened friendship, enhanced people-to-people exchanges, promoted practical cooperation, and contributed to deepening bilateral relations.

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Tien Trung - Chairman of the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Gia Lai province reviewed the 30-year journey of cooperation and highlighted the results achieved in the past time.

Accordingly, bilateral trade turnover reached nearly 111 billion USD; the United States became Vietnam's largest export market; cooperation in education , science-technology, health, and culture became increasingly substantive. The relationship between the two countries was upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership in September 2023, demonstrating trust and strong ties.

On this occasion, the leaders of the Vietnam-US Friendship Association pledged to continue to closely coordinate with domestic and foreign partners to expand exchange activities, support the community; promote cooperation in the province's strengths, contributing to consolidating and deepening the foundation of relations between the two countries.
